Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!
Aspie, thanks for your comment on 2nd Sep Hard. I have asked a follow up question if you don't mind looking?

Placement of 9 in 33A is the key

Jimmy, went back and looked, I think you’re right

Nada - 33A was my key; there is only one order where everything works.

Meredith - Check yesterday's replies to your uniqueness comment if you haven't seen them.

I just realized that the puzzles are all duplicates from exactly 10 years prior.

Counted that there must be five of 456’s in 23D, 21D. Two from 12A, two from 23A and one from 10A. So, none in 33A nor in 15A. Solves.

If you go through every possible combination for each row and column, you can eliminate enough numbers to get a very slow nada.

Straightforward with Aspie's hint, thanks, & thanks also for responding on the 2nd's puzzle.

Jimmy, my nada solution does require first to solve 17D and see that the 789 situation in 33A requires X=123. At that point 456 counting is possible, which places the 3 in 33A.
