Used possibilities and orphans. I doubt someone can do this without possibilities.

Chris + 1. Got quite a few numbers in the middle with no nothing, but broke down and used possibilities.

I thought it was very hard. used a failed chain on the 1,2/7,8 in 9A at 7:06 and forgot to restart the clock. will try again soon - not quite awake from a nap.

Used possibilities, orphans and several chains. Good puzzle.

After using oprhans and possibilities the first time, I realized there was a much easier way. Second try, no possibilities or orphans until I had all but 7 squares in the last 2 columns done (24A, 36A complete) - this was pretty easy when looking at the right stuff. Now, I used a mini-orphan (sum of 6 cells across known, all 7 down), or else I needed a simple mental chain.

Joe +2. Challenging, but found a 'no nothing' approach (in retrospect)
1. 36A: Identify two high cells, then solve 7.
2. Solve at least 8 more cells (including 1 in left 15D)
3. 36A can't contain a 6, so 3 low cells are 345. HNT contains 345, so solve DE and 8A and 5 in right 15D.
4. Rest of puzzle is straightforward

I just did this one in 2:48 from the saved position (11:55 a.m. 6-3-14). I think I can (maybe) see how you did it, Joe.
