Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.

Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!
this was do-able by logic but I found it quite difficult but enjoyable - the ways forward were not immediately obvious (to me anyway)

I found this one quite quick, but I did use the orphans.

Great hat trick Eileen!!!

actually, this one seemed pretty easy, even without the orphans.

I used orphans and everything filled in easy leaving only the rows of 36A & 32A.
The options for 36A & 32A were identical which made the solution a snap. Since 36 is 4 more than 32 and there are 6 spaces - the 36 has 5 digits larger than the 32 row which had a single digit higher than the 36 row.

I'm with dave on this one...

13A and 11A are easily solved.

You can make some very useful eliminations in 10D and 35D(R).

in 32A, you cannot have 4 squares being 6 or more (or you must have a total of at least 33), so R is solved.

Since you cannot have 4 squares of 6 or More...
