Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.
Other variations

Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!
stuck here too. either it's too hot or there really is a difficult stream of puzzles right now

I've tried it three times and cannot get it. Did not read Chris' tip, because I'm not giving up yet.

After some consideration realized that B cannot equal 9. Then simple.

Chris +1/2 (re: Y=4); Ross +1/2 (re: B!=9)

Seemed fairly simple, once I used magic squares for 7,8,9 in the bottom section. I had already used orphans, not sure they were needed to then complete the top.

A!=7 takes to the end to prove, even with orphans, so unsatisfactory, 2018

After solving all of bottom up to the orphans (see my prior comment), note that ABC = 789 in some order.
Prove that 34D = 136789 in some order, and since 68 are at the bottom 79 are in BN and 13 are in GL. This means that F cannot be a 1 or 3, magic square, which forces A=8. Easy after that.
