Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.
  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

Most of the right side is easy then had to try what to go for with 14 down. The possible choices were 1247 or 2345.from there with the right choice it pretty well fell into place.

I did it like John. In other words, I filled in the 10 boxes you can get logically, looked at 14D and used trial and error with 1 or 2 in A. Cannot find a logic solution.

Fill in the right side. Then look at the options for 3A and 5A in the upper left, and their implications on the choices for 14D. Turns out to be pretty straightforward in the end, no orphans needed.

I'm surprised no one noted that since there can be no 9 in 32A, it has to be 245678

I don't quite see what Dave has in mind with looking at the options for 3A and 5A, but this is easy with orphans:

Fill in right side. Note 32A must be {8,7,6,5,4,2}. Note 10D and 13D both have 3's, which must be in the orphans. Complete 10D. Observe 7 in H impossible, so 7 in J. Complete puzzle.
