Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.
  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!
nada - easy when you see it, but seeing it is not easy. Although there may be another solution to the one I used.

I completely struggled. Just couldn't see it.

I didn't see 'it' either. +p+o. I'll look forward to reading willo's posted solution.

Didn't see the nada - used possibilities, orphans and chains.

My nada is a little different to Willo's
1) and 2) the same. Then there's the beginnings of 8x in 31A. If B!=8 then 25A and 31A form the 8x. If B=8 then K=8, which gives enough of an 8x to tell you P=9.
Easy then. 14D solves, 6D solves and 21A has only one solution. And so on.

Elegant solution willo, I certainly failed without it.

I couldn't see it, but that is not surprising, one possibility saw me straight through though - 4 in E
