Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

I had to use one extended logic chain to get started (not terribly hard, but too much for me to do in my head), then rest by normal logic - but still somewhat challenging.

Used extended logic to remove one possibility from Z.

It took me a 2 extended chain eliminations before solving.

Got the right answer after a guess and 7 minutes,
then went back and tried the opposite guess,
worked another several minutes and gave up....so

It's up to you what you report. However, you seem to be a very conscientious person, so I would think reporting the time it took to take the second elimination to the contradiction would be enough.
