5:06 - really hate games where you have to guess. What's the point?

Could not get full logic Solution. Mine as follows: After getting normal easy stuff and Placing Orphans Then solution Based around 4.
Making lower seven with 4 soon produced 4's at corners duplicating. So Taking 1,6 then getting easy stuff. Again 4 at top making 7 was easily disprooved with 4's at corners. Leaving easy trail from 5,2. As anyone a more logic based solution they could share?

if J=5, t,u,v=6,5,4 g,l=5,2 which renders 18D impossible. Therefore j=6

but then needs more trial and error - I give up!

My 'full logic' solution is based on showing N > 5 and O < 4. I started with ABDEP by straight forward logic. I also noted that S <> 2 since 18D and 10D must both have a 2. If S = 2 (by oprphans, R can't be 2, then its impossible for 18D and 10D to both have 2's. Now if N = 5 then More...

I Like your logic,and greatly appreciate your explaination. I agree that we are taking a sherlock holmes based solution, which probably best set on Friday for most of us.

logic, no orphans:
if V=5 that locates the 2 in 18D, 7D!=52, so breaks 18D needing a second 5.

Eliminations, then find the 45 pair in 22A, still quite a struggle, but falls out gradually ...

nada on 12/2/15. Don't know what folks found difficult about this.

Stuck, even with orphans, 2019
