Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.

Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!
Even with orphans, this didn't fall out for me; had to do one trial and error guess.

Doable with logic, but I did need a logic chain short enough to see in my head (barely)

No orphans but had to fill in possiblities for 26D, specificall the cells intersecting with 35A, 21A, 30A. One of them must be a 5 or lower

I from I, none of those cells can be lower than 5 (K=4 makes 13D bust).
Also, 3 cells above 5 in 26D makes at least 21 requring 5 or less for the remaining 3 cells(which of course is impossible).
Therefore F=5 or K=5, and the left orphan ranges from 1 to 4.
I'm not sure that helps much other than with the right orphan since multiple options remain for 26D.
