Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Used possibilities, orphans and a chain. Not too difficult because the chain I selected solved it.

Used several possibilities, finally gone through.

Kind of a nada. Just looking at the grid, it seemed 33D would include a 5, and 25D was going to be 1234 plus two numbers that add to 15. That seemed to mean that L=5. So Y must be 7, and that seems to mean that T & W are 98 or 89. Which means U must be 7 and that makes G=8, and the others fall into place. It was more of a gut reaction than a solution, but it worked.
