Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.
Other variations

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.

Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

nada crack ...
both 37A and 38A have four 6789 and two of 2345.
two of the 2345 will be supplied by the long 21D.
which leaves another two, maybe 22D, 31D or 21D.

both 31D and 21D would be overloaded by 6789 if they can't have one of the 2345 each.
which means no 5 available for More...

wow, no other nadas .....
next crack clue ....
after part solve of 22D, it is clear that there has to be one 9 in the square formed by the crossing of 37A, 38A with 31D, 21D. Which gives a 9x for 31D, 21D because of 16A=79

if the 9 is in 31D then other cell of 31D=24
if the 9 is in 21D then other cell of 21D=24
Aspie hopes not to have to explain it more than this ...

Aspie, thanks for sharing your helpful hints. In spite of Aspie's hints, -o+p+r (regardless):
'if the 9 is in 31D then other cell of 31D=24. if the 9 is in 21D then other cell of 21D=24'
