Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

I would be very interested in the alternate solution. I have thought that several times, but when I go over my alternate, I have always found a reason it doesn't work.

If you could, add a comment with the differences. We typically name the cells A-Z starting with the top left going left to right, top to bottom.

When I started kakuro (on another site with zero instructions) I didn't realize I couldn't reuse digits. (e.g., Two 8s in the same row.) So I'd come up with several solutions. Then I got fed up and left. Too much alcohol in my blood surrogate.

Forgot to set the timer, but it wasn't bad. The picture looks like 'Chicken of the Woods' fungus - supposedly edible, but I've never tried it.
