Well, it’s a fairly straightforward chain that if E=7, B=5, T=5 and 12D and 35A fail. So, E=5. 25D starts with 62 or 71 and 22D breaks down into pairs.
So far, so nada. But what next?

the 34 pair in 22D must chain connect somehow to the other orphan via the bottom half of the puzzle (it’s the only chain route). Maybe the solution lies in finding a chain negation ....

had it with just orphans, but made a mistake someplace. Didn't want to go through that again, so put in possibilities. Straightforward from there.

Nada. I was surprised by these comments. Looking back, I assumed that 25D did not have a 5, so W=5. I guess that assumption was not forced, but it's usually the case with 25D in this kind of puzzle. Then it was easy.

Chain was to show that the puzzle breaks if V=5. This leads to an easy puzzle to solve.

Mike guessed that V wasn't 5 and solved it. That is UNEQUIVOCALLY NOT a nada.

Not that difficult with +p+o, and tiny chain to show that R/=8.

It would be good if people stopped claiming guesses as Nada. Why would anybody care for hearing about puzzle “solved” via a guess
