+p, I really struggled on this one

Fairly easy with possibilities, orphans and a chain.

Nada, but hard work on the top. Bottom comes together fast if you believe in the unique rule preventing matching quads. I have never been convinced of that but I decided to buy into it for placement of the 4 and 5 in the bottom two rows and away we went.

At least -o-p, if not nada:
1. Thanks to crosses and uniqueness in bottom 2 rows, solve bottom half.
2. Identify possible 89 pairs in top two rows (CA or CE / HF or HJ), so 7x in those rows.
3. G<=3 and BL is pair, so solve rest (I started with G and 12D)

Nada. Paul +1. The unique solution rule has to work, because we frequently encounter puzzles with two (wrong) solutions, and you never get the 'Congratulations for solving' message. In this puzzle, the unique rule helps twice: in 24D and 23D. In each, you know the first two numbers cannot be a 98 combination, because then they would mirror 17D, producing two potential solutions.
