tried again, best I could do was most of LHS then a short chain based on clashes between 32D and 11D

I needed a chain too

Had to try a chain which did not work then tried another one which worked.We have to try to solve 32 down on which there are 2 possibilities.

forgot timer, but good puzzle. no guessing required.

Logical puzzle. No chains needed. Takes a bit of thought and made a good puzzle.

25D has limited possibilities, once i got those it wasn't too hard

I think square O, where 25D and 20A meet, is pivotal.
I agree that it was a good puzzle, but am not sure (yet) how to solve without a short chain. I'll try your tip, I.
It seemed like eliminating 6 from I was the last logical step for me - I did it in my head, tho this time thru took me over 23!

Not too bad. Fill out all possibilities, then notice that A != 2 (otherwise, there are two cells in second row that would have to be 3). Easy from there.

(no possibilities or chains):
1) Fill in 8D, 17D, 14A
2) Regardless of B, E must be 6, which also gives G.
3) Now O is at most 4 (else overshoot 20A)
4) So C+F+O is at most 9 and at least 8, whence O=4, F=3.
5) Fill in 16A, 7A, I, N, 20A, etc etc.
