Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.
  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!
poss, no orphans, one point where it needed (for me) some thought, rest easy

I tried nada, but filled my brain and had to use possibilities to finish it like Chris. Definitely a good nada puzzle for somebody.

Tough nada with longish mental chains.

Chris + 1. Solved fairly quickly running a very long chain which showed promise. Got lucky.

I filled in possibilities, solved the easy stuff (i.e. NQRSTUVYZ), basic eliminations (magic square of 2's (i.e. OPWX), and then there is only one possible combination for 33D (must have a 2 and an 8 and no 3's). No chains or orphans at all.

Easy nada. After filling 34A and last 2 cells of 11D, if we placed 25 we would end up with a 2 from 6A), 5 and 8 in 33D and no place for 1 and 3. Without 1 and 3 in 33 on 6 cells, we cant place 8 either - contradiction. So 11A is 52 and rest falls immediatelly.
