Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.

Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

I thought lethal meant fatal. Anyway, I found a simpler way to do nada, here's my general approach:
1. Because of a cross, identify what one of rows must contain.
2. Identify trio in 21D, so solve 3 of the rows.
3. Another cross identifies what another row must contain.
4. Solve remaining 3 rows, starting with crosses from steps 1 and 3.

nada details:
1. 8x in NPSU, so 26A contains 4679.
2. OTY is 456 trio, so solve top half starting with 123 in 21D.
3. 4x in NOXY, so 28A contains 4789.
4. Solve bottom half (start with either O=4 or S=8).

Thanks Don. I wan't getting any traction until I read your note about the 8x in NPSU. I didn't see it until I realized that I had 568 as the possibilities in T. Duh!
