Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!
stuck, not even one cell, will try again after any hints .....

Took me orphans and 2 chains. Once I determined what made up 7 down in lower left, logic from then on.

I'm not sure if we need orphans.
The key is on the balance between 25 and 24.

Didn't need orphans, but took a little trial and error. I agree the key is 25 and 24 down.

I liked this puzzle. No orphans, no trial and error.

Orphans and, like Rick, took as stab at the 7 in the lower right and got it the first time. Wasted a lot of time working on 25 down before I made the pick of the two choices for the 7.

After filling in the lower right without orphans, I couldn't see how to progress further without them. With LuCa, I also thought 24/25 balance was the key, but ... With orphans, it's straightforward.

No orphans but needed a long chain and a long time!
