Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.

Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

No idea about unique rule so used p and o

Shabbir, solution must be unique. See example of a non-unique solution below:

6A=123
3A=21

Assuming 6A is the top row (ABC), C can't be 3.

Concerning this puzzle, I like Chris' 'pentuplets' term.

my nada approach:
1. 11A contains 245 (K=2).
2. One possibility for J causes the 'unique rule pentuplets' (per Chris).
3. Solve A to avoid another non-unique situation.

Couldn't seem to get to nada. Used orphans. No possibilities.

Don +3. My interpretation of the non-unique rule in this puzzle is that you can easily prove that GH = 67. CD cannot be 67 too, because then the numbers could be inserted in several orders, producing multiple solutions. Since CD is not 67, but must be 9. Then the 7 quads provide the solution.
