Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.

Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

That one was impossible without guessing. Any tips?

6:17. I ended up with 2 possibilities for where the 3 could go in the sum to 15 near the bottom, then eliminated it from one of them by following it through mentally. Not much different from guessing though ...

No guessing required. Spoiler alert: After getting about half way though the puzzle, you should have a time where the bottom 3 rows of 22d will be a 1. There must be a 1 in 6d and 3d so that eliminates the 1 from the left most 6d (which is a 2 cell). This eliminates the 5 from the same cells, then simple eliminations should finish you up.

easy enough, it ends up aboput being about the 1's in the bottom two rows as UrBuddie says

Pretty easy without orphans. Bottom two rows are key. Done on 11/11/13.
