Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.

Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!
+p after doing half with nada. Possibly a nada for someone.

nada, quick partial solve of 35D was key, as was unique rule on 24A and 27A

Shabbir +P. But I agree with Chris, it is a Nada

Easy with possibilities and orphans.

Used Possibilities (as always)

Couldn't find Chris's 'unique' solution for P (3 or 4)

So I Guessed D & P ............

nada, but took some thought

Unique rule:
24A = 1 + 23
27A != 4 + 23
else 689 unique failures

Why does 27A not equal 4 without a guess!

Shabbir + 2.
free kakuro puzzles | online kakuro puzzles
on unique rule: because there's more than one way to arrange 689+689 across a line of six cells

for example this conformation adds to 14,17,15 vertically
689
896
and so does this conformation
896
689
whilst always adding to 23 horizontally. therefore two solutions for any ordering of 689 are always available.
