Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.
  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!
2 cells then orphans and I cannot see anything logical.
Won't bother with this one either.
I hate guessing.

I thought it was relatively straightforward once I added the orphans correctly. But that could be due to the work I put in before using orphans.

with orphans. after poss and working out conformation of 23A. if 33A=xxxx7 then C!=2 so Y=2.
25A part solves and breaks 23A via the orphans.
now we know where the 7 is in 33A.

er, actually, its easier than this. Y!=2 because of above break. so C=2 anyway.

Yep, orphans and figure out where the 2 goes in 21D.

Used orphans and possibilities.

Spoiler alert:

Paul, the key is that the bottom of the 21 column cannot be a 2. That means that the top of that column is a 2, and everything falls into place after that.

Boka, I don't see why that cell cannot be 2
free kakuro puzzles | online kakuro puzzles
Can't be a 2 because that would resul the in 3 '4,5' combos in 23 across.

Paul, you have to eliminate possibilities for 23 and 25 across, and then you can see why there cannot be a 2 there.

Quite a nice puzzle, once you see that Y != 2.
