Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.
  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

Very tough. I had to use extended logic several time for eliminations.

this is doable by logic, it's difficult but it is possible to prove that 36A=156789, it helps to work on the possibilities for 17D and 8D first

Chris +1, but I found it easiest to do eliminations on 27D --- quickly led to 3789 combo and 33D followed quickly afterwards. Used orphans.

Potentially same strategy as Chris (I haven't found Karl's 27D logic):
1. 35D: must have a 6 (only one possibility)
2. All these are impossible: 6 in 25D; 2 in 25D; 6 in 17D; N=2
3. Two possibilities for 8D (either way, 1 is required in 36A):
a. if 134: impossible for sum of 36 to More...

too hard for me - I used a chain based on 2 cells possible for the 2 in 22A.
