Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.

Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!
3 cells then orphans and I cannot see anything logical.
Won't bother with this one.
I hate guessing.

everything plus a huge chain. maybe there is something clever to solve this, but I can't see it and am not really trying. It's too hot for puzzles.

After orphans and three easy cells:
1. Only place 5 could be in 27D is H. Otherwise, can't solve 27D because H can't be 679.
2. No 5 in 31A and 23A.
3. Based on my experience, only one guess/chain is required. Will add 'spoiler' comment later to document my shortest chain.

With orphans:
1. Only place for 5 in 27D is H. Otherwise, can't solve 27D because H can't be 679
2. Prove that 5A contains 23:
a) if B=1: G is 2 or 3
b) if B=3: A is 7 or 8, 5A contains 23
3. Prove that H<=5 (without full chain to eliminate):
