Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

brilliantly great nada, well done even in hindsight, Don. armed with the foresight, the tendency to give up is negated, hence the nada solution.

nada hint. it's the 56's crossing with 17D and 24D, both of which have to have either a 5 or a 6. btw, from unique rule nothing can have a 56 pair else the rest of the 35A's will break.

therefore there can't be 56 in 25D=123478. the rest isn't easy, but that's the start ....

after Chris' nada hint (well put by the way!), I found rest of puzzle to be easy starting with CG (because of 7x in 35As).

Nada 23:29. Easily the toughest nada I've done. In hindsight, that's a really good hint Chris.

Nada - similar to Chris but a little different explanation:
There are four of 56 in the two 35As: two in the 7Ds, one in 17D and one in the long 24D. This means 25D must be 123478, and long 24D is 123567 with the 7 in one of the 35As. That means 17D is 1259 and short 24D has an 8 and a 9. With More...
