Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.
Other variations
Still looking for more puzzles? How about a variation on sudoku? Try Wordoku. Wordoku uses letters instead of numbers and has a hidden 9-letter word! For crossword puzzles, try Free Crossword PUzzles. 2 free crosswords (Easy, Hard) daily.

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.
  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

Fairly easy with possibilities and orphans.

I must need more coffee because I struggled the whole way even with o & p

+o +p (missed whatever Chris or Boka found). Magic square of 3s in 15A rows (two possibilities). Short chain to prove one of columns couldn't have 3, 25D was forced, then rest of puzzle easy after that.

Don, 25D can't be the 45 solution because there would then be 123xx non-unique in the two 15A's, it all unravels after that ...

or, if non-unique rule is unpopular, it would force 35D to be 236789 and a fail with the 10A=46

+o+p+chain Wasn't sharp enough today to see the non-unique solution to 25D.

Tough for me. Used o and p and chains. Cat's in cute position.

thanks Chris. Still +o +p for me after that.

Don, it's all in rhe interactions with the 15A's and the 33D and 35D. already the 5's are gone. Can you have a 4 in 35D? would need 35D=34xxxx solution, but then there is a 12 illegal quad formed in the 15D's, so gradually, we take the 5's away, then the 4's away and 35D=23xxxx solution

Chris +1, good puzzle

thanks again Chris. I had to use possibilities to eliminate 4 in 35D, but I agree it's at least -o.
