Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Took about 15 minutes. Tried the Toronto Star Kakuro, but it's the most pokey frustrating interface I've ever seen. Won't do that one again.

Not sure if this was Luca's approach:
1. solved 29D 5 regardless of N:
a) if N=4: KJ can't be 54!
b) if N=6: P=4, 145 is 86 or 95, UV is 76 or 85, HQU is 789 trio, JM is 36 or 45, K>=7
2. NW is 46 pair, so solve left 13A, and 3 in 21D.
3. Solve right 13A, then rest of puzzle.
