Kakuro Kakuro
How to play Kakuro
Kakuro is similar to both sudoku and traditional crossword games.
Like a Crossword
Similar to crosswords, Kakuro has clues both across and down. When you put numbers in the vacant squares, the sum must equal the given clues. This is why the game is sometimes called 'cross sums'.
Like a Sudoku
Just like a sudoku, you cannot have the same number in a row or column. If a row is broken into 2 areas by a clue, then you can have the same number occuring once in each of the separate areas.

Choose a number, and place it in the grid above.
  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Talk about anything and everything, but nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

Solves when you count down the total number of 7,8,9s in puzzle.
(A) Counting down, there are a total of fifteen 7,8,9s for columns 37D (3), 12D (1), 24D (3), 23D (2), 16D (2) 39D (3), 13D (1). I.e. 15=3+1+3+2+2+3+1.
(B) You need all available slots in rows and orphans to place the fifteen More...

Some more
(d) 15A lacking a 9 means cross 9s in 24D and 16D so 13D must be 67 or 76 since it can’t hold a 9 by the cross 9s nor a 5 since first slot of 35A is 5
(e) a 6 in 13D means you have four 6s in puzzle and none can go in orphan slots. so, 19A becomes 12367 since it needs a 6 by the four sixes and 19A holds a 7.
(f) 23D solves by (e) and (a)

Mistake in writeup of (e). Instead … 4 placement in 34A/39D solves and this forces 14A to be 95. Etc.
Main point is allocation of 7,8,9s to rows per (B) above makes the puzzle solvable with not much work.
